ITB code displayed in frontend -- is not processed 6 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi,

got the free version and installed the plugin. Just as a test case, I added the following to my welcome page after CB login: { itb cb_firstname=(sebastian) } Welcome Sebastian! { /itb }

(I added the spaces only here, used it without spaces on my site.) However, when viewing the page in the frontend, I see the ITB code just as quoted above, including brackets and all, within the content text, it seems that the ITB code is not being parsed or not being processed by your plugin.

Things I have already checked:

- Using Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode
- ITB Plugin is published
- Entered ITB code without spaces around brackets
- did not use a wysiwyg editor ("no editor" to enter text

What else could I be missing?
Will the professional version work better for me?

Thanks,
Sebastian

An odd (not documented well) feature/design of Joomla is the order of plugin processing.

You may want to go to the Extensions > Plugin Manager

Then look at the order of the plugins. Make sure the ITB plugin is set to 1 and have no 0 (zeros).

Also, firstname is a standard CB field. Try taking off the cb_ and just use firstname not cb_firstname.

Give that a try.

Thanks for your very fast response!

I did not mention it but had previously played with plugin management and set the ITB plugin to load before other parsers ('Hider', for example, is another parser plugin I use) as I had already suspected that the order of execution could have some effect on the plugins. It did not make ITB work though.

BUT -- guess what! -- installing the 4.99$ professional version made it work.

I guess that the free version maybe is no longer properly maintained and is not up to par with current CB / Joomla releases?

Anyway, the Pro version worked right away using my same sample code, as I did not change anything else.

Now that was 5 dollars well spent!

Thanks again,
Sebastian
