Can display properly in article, but can't print? 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi I just purchased and installed the commercial version of cbp and although I could not make the free version work, the commercial version was able to work. However, now I have a new problem:

I can make an article that will display the users field data from their profile properly, but when I try to make a pdf or print the article, it only prints "{ cbp cb_examplefieldname } (spaces added here) and not the actual data.

Is there a way to make the data not only display in the article, but also print out as well?

The problem of printing any plugin information unfortunately is outside the scope of CBP (or any plugin for Joomla).

This is a function of Joomla's printing/pdf capabilities. The code that creates the print page or pdf does not take into account plugin processing.

This is a limitation not of CBP, but of Joomla. Hopefully it will be fixed in Joomla's 1.6 version.

...sorry...

Ok thanks, I understand. That was the main reason I got your product, I was hoping to use it to print profile data, But even if it can't do that, it's still a useful and nice product for the price and I'm very happy with it.

Just out of curiosity, do you happen to know of any other extensions/methods out there that I can use to allow a registered user to print their CB profile data, or at least just one tab of their CB profile?

Gromo,

You have found the biggest issue with Joomla and most CMS'.

It seems the code developers for most CMS' respond, "we don't need no stinking printers."

The links below may or may not help... But here's a quick list of possibilities.

Ok I found a solution that works! by using the pdf pre-processor extension on your list, I am able to get the joomla pdf icon to display the data from your cbp plugin just as it appears in the site. However I needed to add cbp as a "safe" plugin to the parameters of the pre-processor plugin, but after I do that it does the job perfectly!

With these two plugins working together, now my Community Builder Users have a working method to print out their profile data via a pdf! Exactly what I was looking for, Thanks!
